JOB DESCRIPTION

The incumbent will assist in the maintenance and growth of the client portfolio.  The primary role is to provide technical and operational support to ensure service deliverables as agreed with client are met. He/she is to manage the support staff and to promote proactive working relationships with common goals.

Responsibilities:

  • Monitor, guide and counsel all support personnel, including on-the-job training to upgrade their knowledge and skills.
  • Respond to non-routine and complex inquiries.
  • Ensure optimum cover is provided to clients at best possible rate from insurers.
  • Lead and monitor the day to day activities of all support personnel and ensure clients’ insurance requirements and day to day needs are handled efficiently and competently.
  • Delegate work to subordinates and supervise assigned tasks.
  • Ensure the prompt collection of premiums by subordinates to comply with cash-before-cover (CBC) and Premium Warranty requirements.
  • Authorise broking transactions.
  • Ensure prompt preparation and submission of all required monthly reports to the Senior Manager.
  • Keep the Senior Manager informed of all pertinent issues or problems.
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements at all times and Business Process Management as well as the implementation of company policies and procedures.
  • Assist the Claims division where necessary in handling non-routine and complex claims to settle claims efficiently and satisfactorily for clients.

Requirements:

  • Degree or professional qualification in a related field.
  • At least 5 years’ experience in insurance ( General & Life Insurance).
  • Possess leadership qualities and presentation skills, develop and maintain strong business relationships with clients and insurers.
  • Good written and communication skils in English and Bahasa Malaysia.
  • Pleasant and mature personality with good interpersonal skills at all levels.
  • Good leadership skills with the ability to lead, guide and motivate team members to ensure team effectiveness.
