JOB DESCRIPTION

Scope

Lead Department to formulate, manage, coordinate, implement and assist the Head of Division in leading and driving the Our Client Group’s Corporate Strategies and Agenda in delivering the short, mid and long term plans of the Group. Evaluate business propositions and perform feasibility studies in-line with Group’s business objectives, strategic positioning and overall direction of the Group in maximizing Shareholders’ value and return.

Responsibilities

Corporate Planning

·  Drive, formulate, manage and facilitate the development of the Group’s annual business plans by strategizing, planning and managing the annual business planning cycle with other relevant Divisions to articulate business planning targets and Group’s strategies.

·  Prepare necessary approval papers and Group presentations.

·  Organize, set framework, agenda, prepare GCEO on annual Corporate Events, eg. Townhall, External Environment Assessment (EEA) etc.

·  Perform feasibility studies or evaluate business propositions and make recommendations in determining the potential of various areas eg. Property acquisition, new development, masterplanning, land acquisition etc. Commercial studies include other property-related businesses such as utilities and services.

Business Development

·  Lead market research and continually keep abreast of property market developments, industry trends and new policies affecting the property sector to produce Market Updates for the Group.

·  Organize the overall feasibility study work by framing and structuring deliverables and interface with various Divisions and Departments to harness input for the commercial study which includes aspects of development planning and concepts, development strategies and phasing, market values and rates, cost structure, legal, finance and risk etc. Monitor and update commercial standing at various stage gates.

·  Perform and organize for due diligence work in Mergers and Acquisition

·  Lead discussion and negotiations with potential partners/investors, provide input and/or review and finalize agreements or heads of terms.

·  Scan the market and identify potential strategic partners or new businesses that would enhance the Group’s position and growth.

·  Prepare necessary presentations to update various levels of top management, create buy-in for approval for corresponding approval papers.

·  Develop network and maintain business relationships with market players including relevant authorities, business operators and property-related communities.

Requirements

·  Degree in Financial or Technical fields (Accountancy/Business/Engineering/Architecture/Urban Planning/Property)

·  A minimum of 10 years of experience in Corporate Planning and/or Business Development Work
