JOB DESCRIPTION

Summary

Supervise the Logistics, dispatching and storage of merchandise in Warehouse and oversee picking, storage, receiving, dispatching, security, maintenance, sanitation and administrative functions

Responsibilities

• Overseeing receiving, warehousing and Logistics operations.
• Implementing operational policies and procedures.
• Implementing and overseeing security operations.
• Ensuring effective and safe use of warehouse equipment.
• Motivating and disciplining staff.
• Maintaining documentation and keeping accurate records of warehouse activities.
• Create and manage budgets
• Keep track of quality, quantity, stock levels, delivery times, transport costs and efficiency
• Comply with customs laws, regulations and ISO requirements. Failure to comply is a violation of law and could result in significant fines or penalties.
• May perform any other assigned tasks as necessary.
• Identify areas of improvement and establish innovative or adjust existing work procedures and practices

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree: Business, Logistics/transportation or other related fields.
• A Licensed Customs Broker or Certified Customs Specialist is preferred.
• Minimum 10 years of experience in import/export operations, customs and trade consulting, international business, logistics and warehousing.
• Good verbal and written communication in English.
• Ability to balance multiple priorities simultaneously and manage time appropriately.
• Effectively driving for results is a key competency.
• Ability to implement compliance processes in areas outside department structures to ensure compliance with regulations.
• Proven ability to deliver objectives while working independently
