JOB DESCRIPTION
Summary
Toolmaker uses various measuring and gauging tools to perform necessary inspections before, during, and after moulding operations. Sets up equipment based on mould requirements, materials, and tolerances. Executes production runs; conducts quality control testing before mould enters the production cycle.
Responsibilities
- Oversee the repair, maintenance, and overhaul of moulds to ensure their proper functionality. Regularly check lubrication and replenish oil as needed.
- Monitor mould cleanliness, identify contamination early, and conduct timely cleaning.
- Periodically inspect mold for wear and damage based on usage, and perform necessary repairs promptly.
- Regularly evaluate the structural condition of mould, detect deformation, and initiate repairs as required.
- Conduct routine safety checks on moulds, identify potential hazards, and address them immediately.
- Assemble new moulds and conduct trial runs.
- Continually monitor the mould usage, detect any damage early, and ensure timely repairs.
- Ensure that work is carried out following the safety procedures for the process
- Ensure that you comply with PPE requirements for the stamping process
- Minimum a Diploma in Mechanical Engineering
- At least 3 years of working experience
- Strong understanding of mould structure.
- Proficient in mould maintenance and repair work.
- Report timely to the supervisor on the status of moulds
- Basic Knowledge of office software
