JOB DESCRIPTION
Summary
Our Company utilizes state-of-the-art systems to produce sales quotes for its ERP products. We are seeking a Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES) Functional Consultant who can lead Manufacturing and Factory Digitalization projects towards manufacturing excellence. The opportunity involves occasional consultancy work at different client sites across APAC.
Responsibilities
- Provide general MES Functional Consultant.
- Requirement Gathering, Design, Configuration, Testing and Deploying of MES Solutions.
- Collaborate with Subject Matter Experts/Plant Users and various stakeholders with UK/US counterparts to study the current landscape, and define and design to-be plans for MES.
- Solution Design – ERP/MES/Control Systems.
- Work with teams of MES integrators to develop client requirements.
- Develop customer requirements.
- Prepare functional specifications.
- Perform any other ad-hoc duties as assigned.
Requirements
- At a minimum a high school diploma or equivalent. A university degree or at least some university-level education, although not required, is preferable.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in the Manufacturing domain (Functional or Technical)
- Industry domain knowledge is a plus (Especially in Plastic Molding, Extrusion or Assembly Lines)
- Functional knowledge in any of the following areas: Product Data Management, Shop Floor Control, Capacity Requirements Planning, Manufacturing Accounting, Incoming Inspection and Materials Management and Product Quality.
- Highly driven individual with an execution focus & a strong sense of urgency.
- Willing to go the extra mile with a strong work ethic; self-directed & resourceful.
- Ability to manage effectively & efficiently multiple tasks & priorities.
- Fluent in written and verbal English. Knowledge of Mandarin would be helpful.
- Basic database knowledge (Microsoft SQL).
- Technical/Functional experience in MES / Scada tools or other Manufacturing related software is an advantage.
- Previous project experience involving Design Development Configuration, Implementation for different manufacturing industries is a great plus.
