Summary

• The Digital Platform Architect will play a key role in the digital transformation of the organization by defining the technical architectures that will enable the company to provide enhanced customer experiences, make data-driven decisions and increase operational excellence. This role will have enterprise-wide scope.
• The Digital Platform Architect is expected to be the subject matter expert that will help business and IT leaders understand the technology, business and operational implications of technology investment decisions related to the company’s digital transformation.
• System and platform architecture for all digital platform
• Enable: Translate Business Ideas, to Business Requirements, Technical Design
• Govern: Technical Architecture, Application Design, Quality Assurance & Delivery Vendor Management
• Innovate: Research industry & market trends and refresh internal technology standards

Responsibilities

• Create target state and enterprise capability architectures with supporting technology and business capability roadmaps, ensuring the Application, Digital, Data and Integration architecture aligns with the business and growth strategies
• Partner with business and technology stakeholders to translate business requirements into technical solutions for the company’s digital transformation program. Present to stakeholders how architectural options will meet their needs.
• Be one of the key technical decision-makers for the company’s digital transformation program
• Lead the design and realization of the overall architecture of cloud-based systems and enterprise programs, ensuring adherence to architecture vision, standards, principles and policies
• Ensure all architectural recommendations favour the business advancement with an agnostic approach to a specific technology
• Provide digital business model consulting, architecture design and development guidance to application architects and developers across the group to ensure designs and resulting applications align with divisional and the organization’s strategies and position well within the industry.
• Manage and coordinate architecture governance across one or more internal/external teams to ensure IT projects and activities are aligned with target architecture, principles, and guidelines
• Monitor and analyse industry, technology and market trends to determine their potential impact on the organization
• Incubate new technologies within the organization and plan how selected technologies should be implemented
• Lead the creation of prototypes and conduct pilots for new technology deployments on an experimental basis to provide recommendations on benefits, investment profile, and skills required for successful adoption of the technology/capability
• Provide input to portfolio management and technology roadmaps by recommending initiatives that balance tactical opportunities and strategic needs to close the gap between current and future state
• Develop plans by overseeing system flows, creating layouts that will best serve the organization’s needs.
• Develop detailed level designs and patterns for implementation
• Lead technical design sessions; recommend, design and document technical Digital Customer Engagement solutions that are fit for purpose in terms of strategic alignment, quality, cost and time

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in MIS, Computer Science, or related field
• Experience working within an Agile/Scrum environment
• Experience working in a fast-paced and high growth environment
• 15+ years of experience in a senior IT architecture role
• 5-10 years of experience in the Hospitality, Travel, E-Commerce, Platform Business industry is a big plus but not a mandatory requirements
• Demonstrated experience in being the lead architect in a large digital transformation program
• Demonstrated experience in developing strategic technology plans and roadmaps including business capability planning
• Demonstrated experience across multiple architecture domains with a specific depth of skill and experience in Application architecture
• In-depth expertise in architectural frameworks and patterns for Nonfunctional requirements, integration, automation, cloud, CX and data
• Demonstrate technology skills across multiple IT domains including software development, infrastructure and security
• Successful track record of working in an Architect role with a broad technical focus including significant experience in:
• Technology migration roadmaps
• Support development
• Apps remediation
• Exposure to application portfolio management and evaluating requests for new software and architecture documentation
• Formal training or referenceable experience of working with industry-recognized Architecture Development Methodologies and Frameworks such as TOGAF
• Strong general consulting skills including communications, client relationship building, and presales support which enables you to take a leadership role within your assigned opportunities
• Strong experience in delivering customer mobile, software and cloud experiences leveraging industry digital ecosystems
• Strong communication skills with the demonstrated ability to effectively communicate complex technical material to diverse audiences ranging from senior management to application developers
• Strong facilitation and conflict resolution skills
• Demonstrated ability to train, mentor, and develop technical skills of staff
