JOB DESCRIPTION

Purpose

To maintain and enhance the London application landscape

Your main tasks are:

• You are enhancing and maintaining web-based applications and frontends for corporate banking products and services of the branch.
• You integrate central head-office systems from Commerzbank central IT landscape to realize the functionality of the local application.
• You will enhance and maintain solutions for business requirements and business data objects of the banking functionalities and processes. Of course, you will be supported by business experts and other developers of the team.
• You will support the incident resolution and bug fixing and support the test and development team
• You will be working in an agile team setup, meaning the team includes business experts, developers and application operation experts.
• Participate in KanBan ceremonies using VidCo/Telco or – exceptionally – in person.

• C# .NET Framework 4.8 , .NET Core 3.1, .NET Core 5
• Develop and maintain existing programs in C# / .NET
• Razor + MVC , HTML 5 , Bootstrap
• Use these technologies for the development of new components
• ASP.NET, WEB Forms & ASMX Web services
• Use these technologies for the development and maintenance of existing web applications.
• Relational database and (Oracle, MS SQL)
• Use these technologies for the development environment
• Object-oriented analysis and design/architecture
• Analyse business requirements and design solutions
• Windows services + multi-threaded console application
• Understanding of Windows services and multi-threaded applications.
• Job Scheduling – Automic UC4 + Windows Scheduler
• Use these technologies for the development environment
• SSIS & DTSX package generation.
• Use these technologies for the development environment
• MS Reporting Tool (SSRS)
• Develop and maintain existing/new reports in SSRS.
• Development of Web Services REST/SOAP/XML/WSDL/WEB API
• Maintain and enhance REST, SOAP & WEB APIs based on the internal coding standards and guidelines
• DOS, Powershell, VB & Java scripting
• Use these technologies for the OS scripting
• Jira & BitBucket
• Jira - Bug tracking, issue tracking and project management tool
• Bitbucket - Version control repository for source code and development projects
• Web technologies: HTML5, CSS, JavaScript React, Apache Wicket, Tomcat
• Use these technologies for the front end maintenance and enhancements
• Windows Server, Networking (TCP/IP, Netbios, DHCP, DNS Servers) & Security (SSH, TLS, HTTPS)
• Good understanding of Windows O/S, Networking & Internet security. This helps when understanding/designing the architecture for web-based applications and troubleshooting issues.
• Agile Software Development / Kanban
• Participate in Kanban ceremonies
• Secure Coding Practices
• Use these technologies for the development environment

Requirements

• Degree course (full-time or through co-op programme while working or completing vocational training) (e.g. vocational academy, university of applied sciences or university) in Computer Science or Engineering.
• Alternatively, in Mathematics, Physics, Accountancy, Business Administration, Finance or similar with strong IT focus or bank-internal education in a relevant field with significant working experience.
• Good analytic thinking with attention to detail to solve problems
• Proactively driving projects and tasks to deliver results
• Customer orientation and ownership attitude for the assigned responsibilities to deliver results in time and in line with the clients’ need
• Excellent collaboration and communication skills
• High flexibility and adaptability to a fast-changing environment
• Good team player with high ability to work in cross-geographical and international teams
• Willing to work in the graveyard shift (following 9 am – 6 pm London time).
