JOB DESCRIPTION

Responsibilities

• Responsible for leading and supervising a team of engineers as they design, develop, modify, and create solutions to technical problems.
• Organizing workflow to meet specifications and deadlines
• Liaising with other managers to formulate objectives and understand requirements
• Engineering
• Supervise and lead teams of engineers and technicians who design, plan and develop projects, and oversee production and quality control.
• Oversee the design and development of new products and procedures.
• Establish engineering policies, procedures, and standards.
• Supporting, understanding and advising the client/supplier as to the requirements and obligations in the development of a part design.
• Supported NPD on new design and development in product and procedure.
• Monitor and measure team progress against plan and recommend changes as needed.
• Assist in resolving production technical issues on products.
• Preparing the documents required for the projects including drawings, purchased part specification,
• Procedures, bills of material and other documents required for the manufacturing of the products.
• Responsible for providing technical support to Sales and Marketing, Quality Control and Production departments, as well as Customers as needed.
• Any other duties or responsibilities assigned by the superior from time to time.
• Production
• Liaise with other managers to formulate objectives and understand requirements
• Estimate costs and prepare budgets
• Organize workflow to meet specifications and deadlines
• Monitor production to resolve issues
• Supervise and evaluate the performance of production personnel (quality inspectors, workers etc.)
• Determine the number of necessary resources (workforce, raw materials etc.)
• Approve maintenance work, purchasing of equipment etc.
• Ensure output meets quality standards
• Enforce health and safety precautions
• Report to upper management 
• Any other duties or responsibilities assigned by the superior from time to time.

Scope of Authority

• Technical drawing, Internal Product Specification approval.
• Subordinate leave and overtime approval.

Requirements

• Education Level: Minimum Diploma holder or Degree Holder.
• Working Experience: Minimum 10 years of engineering experience.
