Bangkok Bank Limited, Kuala Lumpur branch opened its door for business on 23rd January 1959 offering a full range of commercial banking services. On 20th May 1993, Bangkok Bank Limited, Bangkok (“Parent Bank”) changed its status to a public company as required by the Securities & Stock Exchange Act, Thailand and thus, the Parent Bank became known as Bangkok Bank Public Company Limited, likewise the Kuala Lumpur Branch. In compliance with Bank Negara Malaysia’s requirement on all foreign banks to be locally incorporated, Bangkok Bank Berhad (“BBB”) was incorporated on 12th May 1994 to take over the whole operations of Kuala Lumpur Branch of Bangkok Bank Public Company Limited. BBB is a wholly-owned subsidiary of Bangkok Bank Public Company Limited with an authorized and paid up share capital of RM400 million. The principal activities of BBB are banking and related financial services. BBB has only one subsidiary which is BBL Nominees (Tempatan) Sdn Bhd. JOB DESCRIPTION
1. Job Summary
Serving as Senior Relationship Manager / Relationship Manager attached to Business Banking Department of the Bank to spearhead the Bank’s business development effort and to promote its products and services to the existing and potential customer. In view that there is no Retail Banking Department currently, the Business Banking Officer is also responsible to design and promote retail banking products such as housing loan, other than loans to commercial segment.

3. Duties and Essential Job Functions
(a) To assist the Department in managing a portfolio of accounts in meeting the targets given, ultimately the Department target;
(b) He / She is also responsible to solicit for new businesses from new and existing portfolio of clients. Ultimately the teamwork spirit is required from the staff to achieve the Bank’s budgeted loan growth. Targets are as per Key Result Areas assigned to the staff concerned;
(c) As part of the Business Banking team members, he / she has to continue soliciting businesses from mid-capped companies and large corporate segments to enhance the Bank’s loan assets with optimal return to the Bank;
(d) To maintain and enhance the relationship with the existing customers so that the banking facilities granted to the latter are actively utilised. Completion of the marketing call reports are required for the Head of Department to keep track on the marketing effort made by the officer. Number of business call to new and existing customers are set in the KRA;
(e) To ensure new loans secured are from good credit quality to minimise Non-Performing Loans. Target is ‘ZERO’ NPL position from new and existing accounts;
(f) To ensure all reports are completed and submitted on time;
(g) To cross sell the Bank’s various products to existing and potential customers not restricted to credit facilities;
(h) To ensure annual review of all the accounts are conducted promptly and to ensure quality credit write up at all time. No overdue reviews should be noted by end of the year, with a plan to have the annual review being conduct at least one month ahead in the next financial year;
(i) To continuously assist in improving the Department’s processes and also credit culture/practices.
Other Functions and Responsibility
(a) To assist the Head of Business Banking and/or his Deputy in any other works assigned to him/her and other assignments delegated by the Management;
(b) Abide by the requirements of the Anti-Money Laundering and Anti-Terrorism Financing Act 2001 and adhere to it in the day-to-day job functions.
4. Qualifications
a) Education
Posses with recognized Degree in Accounting/Business Administration/Economics or professional qualification in CACA/CIMA/ICSA from acceptable institutions of higher learning.
b) Specialized, Technical/others Knowledge
(i) Knowledge of accounting analytical skill (not book keeping);
(ii) Negotiation skill with good PR;
(iii) Good market knowledge and contacts
c) Kind & Length of Experience
Minimum 5 years of experience in another financial institution with exposure in the commercial/corporate/enterprise banking or related business division, with strong business acumen and credit analytical skill.
d) Required Licenses/Certificates
Preferably Certified Credit Professionals.
5. Decision Making / Signing Authority
Signing authority as provided under the Discretionary Power and other authority given by the management or Head of Department.
