JOB DESCRIPTION

Job Purpose

Performs the supporting role to track and expedite inbound shipments and execute outbound shipments to meet the Company’s promise to customers. Responsible for inbound and outbound shipping activities and adherence to ISO procedures and government regulations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversees a team of logistics co-ordinators/executives to monitor and expedite inbound and outbound shipments.
  • Plan and allocate resources given resources effectively and efficiently to meet internal and customers’ needs.
  • Ensure finished goods issuance transactions are performed accurately and timely in SAP.
  • Coach and mentor logistics co-ordinators to perform job duties in accordance with ISO procedures and government regulations
  • Liaise with internal customers and logistics service partners or government authority to resolve issues related to import and export
  • Investigate and submit findings on customers’ feedback relating to shipments
  • Preparation of monthly reports for manager review and submission to authorities
  • Review and maintain employee docking records
  • Participate in Kaizen initiatives or improving projects
  • Co-ordinate on Custom/Manufacturing licenses/permits
  • The above responsibilities are not exhaustive and other related duties may be added from time to time.

Requirements

  • Minimum Diploma with at least 5 years of working experience in similar position
  • Organized, resourceful and independent
  • Sense of urgency and initiative
  • Good team player with hands-on approach
  • Good interpersonal, communication, supervisory and computer (Microsoft Office) skills
  • Good command of English
  • Knowledge of international shipping best practices and Malaysia Customs regulations (Preferable with FIZ operation knowledge)
