Sales Technical Consultant

Job Purpose
To promote the OUR CLIENT Bocad and Fabtrol product lines and their interrelationship with the OUR CLIENT Plant/Marine line in South East Asia (SEA) and to support customers in that same region.
Dimensions
After a period of induction and training the applicant would be expected to:
- Demonstrate knowledge of the Bocad products and the engineering processes for which they are responsible.
- Have a proven ability to perform the various tasks associated with the role.
- Develop trust and respect with technical specialists both within OUR CLIENT and among the user community.
- Build positive mutually beneficial relationships with clients at all levels and in all areas of their organisation.
Principal Accountabilities
- Work with members of product development and sales managers to develop solution positioning and client proposals.
- Develop technical skills within your primary domain and into OUR CLIENT’s other product areas to assist in the growth of the SEA technical team.
- Provide some technical support required to customers in SEA.
Important Working Relationships
Be able to function effectively as a member of a team, have excellent communication skills, and develop good working relationships in the following areas:
- Sales: Work with the sales team in identifying opportunities, providing technical support at all levels of customer engagement and responding to product support issues.
- Technical: Work within a small dynamic team and show flexibility in the use and development of personal and technical skills to maximize the team’s efficiency.
- Customer: Develop good working relationships with clients and always provide the highest level of customer service and professionalism.
Knowledge, Skills & Experience Required
- Proven experience in the design, fabrication, and erection of structural steel.
- At least five years’ experience in an engineering and construction environment.
- Demonstrated experience with OUR CLIENT Bocad product lines.
- Knowledge of OUR CLIENT Plant/Marine products a plus.
- Knowledge of FabTrol is a plus.
- Minimum Bachelor’s Degree in a relevant engineering discipline.
- Ability to work effectively in a dynamic team.
- Willingness to travel 50% of the time within SEA region.
- Aspirations to work in a customer-focused position.
- Good problem-solving skills.
- Strong presentation, verbal, and written communication skills.
