Gabungan AQRS Berhad (GBG) has its roots in the building and civil engineering construction. The Group's history started in 1996 when Motibina Sdn Bhd was set up as a civil and building contractor. This was followed by the establishment of Gabungan Strategik and Megah lkhlas in 1999, both of which were also involved in building and civil engineering construction. In 2003, AQRS The Building Company was established as a property development company. These four main companies together with other companies in the Group were officially integrated under the same corporate umbrella when Gabungan AQRS Berhad was incorporated on 20th August 2010 as a Construction & Engineering service provider as well as a niche lifestyle property developer. Reporting To  :  Operations Manager

(A) JOB DESCRIPTION

Duties and Responsibilities:

1.  To oversee overall project activities throughout project planning, execution and completion.

2.  To liase with clients, client’s representative, authorities, subcontractors and suppliers to ensure execution and quality of works.

3.  To provide technical support to client’s representative.

4.  To provide guidance to suppliers and subcontractors on company’s quality management system requirements and contract specific requirements.

5.  To provide leadership and guidance to project team members for the implementation of the project quality and execution of the contract requirements.

6.  To prepare estimate, and technical document for tenders and pre-qualification submission on request.

7.  To participate in respective tender committee meeting and propose award of contract to subcontractor.

8.  To plan manpower, materials, equipment and other resources required for project.

9.  To set up, monitor and report on project budget, estimate, costing and cash flow.

10.  To monitor and acknowledge petty cash, subcontractor claims and invoices.

11.  To plan and coordinate with client on logistic issues.

12.  To provide guidance to engineers in problem solving, customer complaints, and project coordination.

13.  To set up project specific quality control measures in inspections and tests plan.

14.  To provide supervision on the works performed by in-house staff or subcontractors at sites.

15.  To review monthly reports and develop remedial measures if necessary.

16.  To attend site meeting as required by the project meeting table.

17.  To participate or conduct project kick-off meeting.

18.  To manage time and cost to achieve optimum results for both the Clients and the Management.

19.  To maintain a high standard of safety and health on project sites.

20.  To lead and cultivate a team of efficient, disciplined and motivated site personnel.

21.  To implement policies, activities, procedures and instructions as relevant and required by the Management to complete construction projects.

22.  To undertake any and all other duties and responsibilities as so instructed by the superior.

23.  To ensure prompt submission, certification and collection of claims.

Requirements

1.  Degree in Civil Engineering Building or equivalent.

2.  Minimum 7 years experience in Civil and Building works.

3.  Good leadership quality and planning skills with sound knowledge of construction method, project management cost control, contracts and quality management.

4.  Good interpersonal skills and ability to lead and motivate site personnel.

5.  Working knowledge of ISO 9001:2000 standard in the construction industry will be an added advantage.

6.  Computer literate and familiar with MS Office 2000 Application Software and MS Project 2000
