JOB DESCRIPTION

Job Purpose

To plan and manage the Mortgage, Hire Purchase and Personal Loan products and their associated end-to-end business model with the objective of achieving profitability targets and growth objectives of the Bank 

Key Responsibilities

Strategic Planning, Product Management and Business Performance

  • Accountable for business overall P&L and KPIs
  • Develop growth strategy in response to changing market dynamics.
  • Conduct market research to gauge customers’ response and preference.
  • Develop products to satisfy customers’ needs and outperform the competition.
  • Spearhead initiatives to drive sales and portfolio performance
  • Contribute to Consumer Bank’s franchise growth and segment strategy

Business Development

  • Work closely with sales and network with developers, lawyers, real estate agents, car dealers and other business partners for business referral opportunities
  • Explore business opportunities to achieve growth and P&L targets of the business

Customer Experience

  • Work closely with respective stakeholders to ensure effective end-to-end robust business process to enhance customer experience
  • Address customers’ complaints and implement proactive measures actively to prevent recurrence of the same issues.

Risk Management and Compliance

  • Promote responsible lending/sales practices to ensure healthy asset growth
  • Implement proactive portfolio management strategy to counter attrition and sustain portfolio profitability.
  • Work closely with Risk and Collection to establish an early warning process and implement robust intervention strategy to mitigate downside risks
  • Work closely with the Operation/ Back Office ensure business continuity
  • Ensure strict compliance with regulatory requirements and Bank’s policy

Human Capital

  • Provide business leadership and coaching for high performance
  • Promote staff engagements to drive teamwork and cohesiveness
  • Facilitate succession planning and contribute to the Consumer Bank’s talent management strategy
