What Deployment Leader contributes to Our Client
Deployment Leader is responsible for executing the strategic goals for operational excellence within a business segment, unit, or function including the selection and development of resources, managing the project pipeline and ensuring ongoing communication about progress against goals.

·  Demonstrates an understanding of Our Client's business strategy and broad cross-functional improvement opportunities.

·  Leads discussion and prioritization of broad, strategic improvement opportunities.

·  Provides feedback to segment and corporate strategy processes.

·  Deploys and balances belt activity across areas of responsibility for optimal results.

·  Ensures individual alignment with career development opportunities; acts as an advocate for employees during the repatriation process.

·  Collaborates with segment department heads and/or functional leaders to remove impediments to progress.

·  Manages a team of Black Belts and/or Master Black Belts deployed against process improvements projects.

·  Mentors Black Belt projects and Kaizens.

Accountabilities in this role

Deployment Leader (DL) is responsible for developing and maintaining a portfolio of continuous improvement projects that improve the overall performance of the business. The DL will work with business and finance leaders to document, track, and sustain the performance and financial impact of solutions.  The DL will maintain all appropriate data within tracking and reporting systems.

  • Serve as deployment leader for Our Client in Asia partnering with other Medical/Pharma Operational Excellence leaders to drive, influence, and contribute to business success
  • Serve as an extended team member for Our Client’s Operational Excellence leadership team and support initiatives for the enterprise
  • Use Lean Six Sigma expertise to facilitate problem-solving and Work-Out sessions to lead teams to address issues
  • Mentor Black Belts, Kaizen Leaders and Green Belts in completing DMAIC projects and obtaining certification requirements
  • Instruct Lean Six Sigma training classes as needed
  • Conduct special data analysis projects as requested by management
  • Identify opportunities for Lean Six Sigma projects, conduct analysis to scope projects, work with business leaders to identify sponsors and charter projects, and lead a team of 6-10 Black Belts to resource these opportunities
  • Coach business leaders to establish performance measurement systems to help identify improvements
  • Work with Process Owners and Information Technology (IT) resources to align on opportunities and prioritize process improvement work
  • Communicate frequently with Business Leaders regarding project status, issues and accomplishments
  • Partner with Senior Leadership (President, VP, level) to ensure alignment of work with strategy and objectives
  • Facilitate project replication, sharing of best practices and documentation of standard operating procedures

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree required, advanced degree preferred
  • Master Black Belt certification preferred
  • Black Belt Certification required 
  • 6-10 years’ experience, prior Supply Chain, Sourcing or Inventory experience preferred
  • 5-7 years of management experience strongly recommended
  • Understanding of P&L and balance sheets required
  • Strong leadership skills required
  • Strong communication skills required
