JOB DESCRIPTION

(Senior) Executive (Budget & Management Reporting)

Job Purpose:

Accountable and responsible for the overall development of budgets and to fulfil the monitoring and reporting of budgets, including the production of regular reports of financial and operational performance, incorporating variance analysis between actual and budget for Management of Putrajaya Holdings Sdn Bhd to facilitate decision making and business planning of the Company.

Responsibilities:

  • Review the budget to ensure accuracy, reasonableness and develop the annual budget in consultation with Heads of Business as inputs to the company business performance.
  • Compilation of budget input from each assigned divisions which include the collating of data from the budget holders and assist in the verification of the data against the trends and spending levels for the preparation of financial budgets.
  • Perform periodical review of the financial performance to ensure data integrity, accuracy and completeness of records and prepare variance analysis report on actual performance against budget. Liaise closely with the budget holder as applicable in explaining the variances to ensure budget not exceeded.
  • Review and monitor financial and business performance of outsourced operators i.e. Alamanda, Anjung, Lanai and Nexus World School as against approved business plan and budget and the Management Agreement. Follow up and liaise with respective operators towards explaining and reconciling to resolve any observed discrepancy. 
  • Compile the periodical financial report to management such as Monthly Management Report and Quarterly Management Report to CEO, Directors in an accurate and timely manner as an update to management.
  • Review and monitor actual capital expenditure incurred as compared to budget and prepare variance analysis to update the management on the differences. Liaise with relevant units on the latest Anticipated Cost Report for Government and Commercial Buildings to ensure the accuracy of the project costing.
  • Tender Evaluation Act as a representative to ensure all financial mandatory documents are submitted and in compliance with tender evaluation requirements for CTC approval.
  • Prepare standard and/or ad hoc report relating to accounts and budget required by PETRONAS, statutory bodies, stakeholders, assigned entities, third parties etc.

Requirements:

  • Recognised Degree or Professional qualification in Accountancy.
  • ACCA & CIMA is an advantage
  • Preferably knowledge in SAP
  • Min 3 - 5 years of experience in finance and accounts.
  • Possess excellent analytical and interpersonal skill and knowledgeable in applications of Financial Reporting Standards (FRS)
  • Experience in property development is an added advantage
  • Able to meet multiple tight deadlines
