Bangkok Bank Limited, Kuala Lumpur branch opened its door for business on 23rd January 1959 offering a full range of commercial banking services. On 20th May 1993, Bangkok Bank Limited, Bangkok (“Parent Bank”) changed its status to a public company as required by the Securities & Stock Exchange Act, Thailand and thus, the Parent Bank became known as Bangkok Bank Public Company Limited, likewise the Kuala Lumpur Branch. In compliance with Bank Negara Malaysia’s requirement on all foreign banks to be locally incorporated, Bangkok Bank Berhad (“BBB”) was incorporated on 12th May 1994 to take over the whole operations of Kuala Lumpur Branch of Bangkok Bank Public Company Limited. BBB is a wholly-owned subsidiary of Bangkok Bank Public Company Limited with an authorized and paid up share capital of RM400 million. The principal activities of BBB are banking and related financial services. BBB has only one subsidiary which is BBL Nominees (Tempatan) Sdn Bhd. JOB DESCRIPTION

  • To assume responsibility of Treasury Middle Office function and business support to perform reconciliation of dealer's jotter, to perform annual review of Investment Policy, Trading Book Policy Statement and Treasury Manual and Handbook.
  • Act as Treasury Compliance Liaison Officer to ensure compliance of all treasury products and all regulatory requirements.
  • As Treasury Product Specialist in derivatives and to develop product program.
  • To create solutions to financial challenges and provide advice on financial matters impacting the customers.
  • The role also necessitates responsibility in treasury operations and controls, renewal and review of limits, position monitoring for dealings in all Money Market Instruments and Fixed Income Instruments in accordance with regulations, policies, guidelines and limits set by the Bank and regulatory authority.
  • To ensure profitability and revenues from treasury activities are being reconciled, monitored and to take the necessary action as to avoid mistakes and erroneous transactions.
  • To manage and keep track of marketing deposit program and to compile all customers marketing calls to ensure positive working relationships with the customers.

Requirements:

  • Candidate must possess at least tertiary education in any field and/or passed PKMC Module 1,2,3 & 4, and/or SIDC Module 6 & 7.
  • At least 10 year(s) of working experience in Treasury with extensive knowledge of fixed income and money markets instruments and sound understanding of derivative products.
  • Required language(s): English, Bahasa Malaysia, Chinese.
  • Full-Time position(s) available.
