JOB DESCRIPTION
This is a key member of the SSC Management team, responsible for the management and efficient running of the Regional Support and Shared Services Centre finance and accounting teams (Financial Management & Accounting, Taxation and Transfer Pricing, Accounts Payable and Payments, Accounts Receivable, Treasury & Cash Management,). Key accountabilities include developing a close working relationship with the Regional Finance team in Hong Kong, SSC management and other business unit stakeholders, and delivery according to the defined SLAs/KPIs, appropriately managing the balance between resources, service delivery and people care. Good technical accounting and taxation knowledge will be required.
Roles & Responsibilities
Leadership & Management:
- Provides clear leadership and direction to the assigned team, in line with Shared Service Centre(SSC) Strategy.
- Responsible for achievement of financial targets of the Team operations / department.
- Lead, motivate, counsel, develop and coach team members to meet, KPIs and SLAs, especially the tight monthly, year end and ad-hoc reporting deadlines.
- Manage team resourcing and performance levels.
- Liaise with different divisions and stakeholders to gain support and resolve issues.
- Build strong partnership with local and Regional colleagues and other stakeholders, anticipating requirements and deliver accordingly.
Technical & Compliance:
- Drive the SSC Finance Team on the achievement of quality and ensure compliance to work standards.
- Ensure compliance to internal and external regulations and procedures.
- Ensure compliance to Group and Regional accounting standards (local and IFRS).
- Ensure accurate, timely and technically correct delivery of financial reports and accounts to stakeholders.
- Identify, facilitate and implement process improvement ideas to improve efficiencies.
- Deal with auditors, tax authorities and regulatory authorities as required for the SSC.
Requirements:
We are looking for individuals with an excellent track record of service delivery,team performance and stakeholder management ability.Highly strategic, with proven ability to handle multi -purpose operations and high degree of problem solving skills.
- Recognized professional and accounting qualification with at least 6 years of experience in finance Management or operations.
- Strong technical finance, accounting and taxation background with good knowledge of key technologies and processes.
- Excellent communication skills, is proficient in English, Chinese and /or other languages.
- The incumbent should preferably be employed in current role for at least 2 years and have proven employment tenure loyalty/stability in their past / current capacity.
