JOB DESCRIPTION

HR Policies

Develop and maintain HR policies in alignment with overall OUR CLIENT policy

Communicate HR policies to all employees

Recruiting

Develop manpower forecast for recruiting purposes in alignment with business plan

Develop recruitment and retention strategies in alignment with manpower plan

Develop and implement a cohesive staffing strategy for the timely sourcing, screening, selecting and hiring of high quality personnel for all APFSS positions

Ensure participation of line manager in recruitment process

Use the recruiting process to establish the HR – Employee relationship with new hires

Learning and Development

Periodically assess both individual and organizational development needs and keep training plans in alignment with business priorities

Develop training curriculum

Design and implement a training and development strategy that will support business requirements

Ensure trainings are delivered on schedule

Facilitate the line managers in conducting annual performance appraisal

Monitor overall personal development and career growth

Maintain career development minutes and facilitate the Head of Organisation during regional Career Development Meetings (CDM)

Compensation and Benefits

Provide advice to management on compensation related issues such as competitive positioning in the market

Develop an internally equitable and externally competitive compensation and benefits package and participate in benchmark surveys

Manage employee relations issues and contract negotiations in a manner that is supportive of the business and human resource strategies

Responsible for job evaluation to ensure job parity

Communications

Ensure messages from management are properly disseminated to all staff

Conduct staff satisfaction survey and follow up on areas of improvement in alignment with OUR CLIENT

Escalate critical staff feedback to management

People Management

Create a positive work environment that fosters team performance

Organise and conduct regular meetings and communications with team members

Coach team members to improve skills and knowledge required to perform his/her job effectively

Conduct team members’ performance evaluation and review

Train new team members and share knowledge and job experience

Set Performance Objectives with direct reports

Counsel team members on performance improvement and career development

Resolve management team conflict with sensitivity, tact and fairness

Ensure balanced workload for team members

Change Management

Advise relevant country HR managers on change management during project implementation

Provide support to APFSS Project Manager with respect to change management

Essential requirements 

Context/Environment

Knowledge, Skills & Experience

Education / Experience

University degree in human resource related field or equivalent

6 to 8 years of experience in human resource management at a multinational corporation, preferably in a shared service environment

Functional

Deep understanding of Human Resources Management processes and practices

Knowledge of legal requirements pertaining to employment

Knowledge of government regulations pertaining to safety rules and regulations

Technical

Advanced knowledge and use of office productivity tools (MS Office, Lotus Notes,etc.)

Interpersonal

Ability to communicate with all levels of organisation

Experienced in handling sensitive issues and highly sensitive situations

Strong counselling and coaching skills

Strong facilitation and presentation skills

Strong customer service orientation

Strong oral and written communication skills in English (e.g. presentation, listening, report writing)

Strong interpersonal skills (e.g. tact/diplomacy, persuasion, cooperation, ability to motivate others)
